Have you heard of numerology? I am going to discuss what numerology is, the history behind it, how it works, and how you can calculate your numerology number as well as interesting facts about the topic.  

Numerology is an ancient practice with roots all over the world and works by building a simple chart based on your full name and birth date. Numerology is any belief in the divine or mystical relationship between a number and one or more coinciding events. It is also the study of the numerical value of letters in words, names, and ideas, and is often associated with the paranormal alongside astrology and similar divinatory arts. 

If you have looked into numerology for any length of time, then you will know just how powerful numbers are in your life. The ancient practice dates back to 569 B.C. and was studied by Pythagoras, a mathematician from the century. But the good news is that you don’t need a degree in mathematics to explore your own numerology numbers.

It's taken me a long time to learn about numerology and accept that certain numbers maybe lucky, or they keep appearing in our lives. This is of course, all down to numerology and the power numbers have. So, let's take a look at how to work out some important numbers. 

The life path number (LPN) is one of the most common parts of numerology basics. It is calculated on the day you were born. From the moment of your birth, the numbers in your personal numerology influences your personality, how you feel, who you are attracted to in a relationship, every trait you hold, and the experiences you will encounter in this life.  

There are a number of a single digit or master numbers in numerology that have a significant meaning, a few including:

Based on your unique birth date, this number acts as a blueprint for your whole life, and this one number will never change for you. Its calculated based on the day you were born. You take those numbers and reduce them down until you get to a single digit.

• Number Seven: Analytical, detail-oriented, skeptical, and wise. 

• Number Eight: Successful, goal-oriented, ambitious, and a leader. 

• Number Nine: Dreamer, always positive, generous, and creative.
